Stantum's Multi-touch Slate PC, Windows 7 Certified

The Stantum Slate PC is based on the Dell Inspiron Mini netbook platform. The 10.1 Slate accepts handwriting, gestures, and text-based input. Is in the "proof-of-concept stage.

Slate PC Proof of Concept (pdf) Includes specifications. Stantum also offers Multi-Touch Development Kits (MDK's) that include a controller board featuring PMatrix, a controller chip. and a touch panel.

BEN: Breakable Experimental Network Simulation on a Multi-touch Wall (RENCI)

BEN, or Breakable Experiemental Network, is a mix of network visualization and multi-touch technology on a very large screen. The project aims to provide better network monitoring and management tools in a user-friendly, intuitive and efficient manner. It is also looks like great tool for learning about network engineering.

At first glance, the applications appear to be geared for the commercial market. Seth Sandler's AudioTouch Multi-user Musical Table

Seth Sandler is an undergraduate student finishing a Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts with an emphasis in Music at the University of Southern California, San Diego.

IxDA is an organization of people involved in interactive design. Although this group's focus is not primarily on interaction design for technology used in education or psychology/counseling, many of the ideas shared by the groups membership are worth some thought.
